Wallcovering

Each springtime, the cherry blossom tree returns to life, symbolising rebirth; its natural grace has been a favourite among artists for centuries.

Branches in the Breeze, our second collaboration with celebrated interior designer Sophie Paterson, captures the fleeting beauty of cherry blossoms. The unconscious style of painting, with its gestural, fluid style, gives the design a sense of movement, while the lustre of the silk lends an elegant finish.

This design is particularly well-suited to rooms with dado rails, half-height panelling or lots of furniture, as the branches fall from the top rather than growing upwards.

This design is also available as a framed original artwork. Shop now.

STANDARD: Hand Painted Dyed silk with paper backing

REPEAT: 5 Panels

PANEL WIDTH: 915mm

PANEL HEIGHT: 3000mm

Each painted panel begins its life as a length of raw silk which we size with a natural adhesive so that it receives paint without bleeding. This forms the extraordinary canvas on which our artists work their magic. Our artists are masters of traditional painting and work in teams to meticulously plan out each room before slowly building up the many layers of detail and colour. To achieve intensity and shade, the artist will blend hues, often using two brushes simultaneously

Our artists are masters of traditional Chinese painting and work in teams to meticulously plan out each room before slowly building up the many layers of detail and colour. To achieve intensity and shade, the artist will blend hues, often using two brushes simultaneously.

Each panel is 36” (915mm) wide

First measure the width of the wall or the full perimeter of the room.

Divide this width by the panel width which is 36” (panel_width).

There is a minimum order of four panels.
