Colourist, and close friend of the Bloomsbury set, Dora Carrington was an English painter and decorative artist, working during the early 20th Century. Dora’s Picnic takes inspiration from her expressive style and brushwork, depicting a fictional scene in which Carrington, Duncan Grant, the Bells and other Bloomsbury members embark on one of their regularly held picnics, often photographed by Dora herself.
