We’ve long admired late 14th-century tapestries—particularly the exquisite way they capture the texture and movement of fabric. The weavers’ skill brought clothing to life, almost in three dimensions.
For our Damask cushion, we reinterpreted a small section of such a tapestry in needlepoint, carefully preserving the original folds and flow of the fabric. Finished with metallic over-embroidery to echo gold brocade, and rich red tones that radiate opulence, it’s a piece of pure indulgence.
The cushion is backed in the finest Hainsworth wool cloth—the very same used for Royal Guards’ uniforms and ceremonial dress worn by the Royal Family.
