A background of cream silk velvet plays host to details in shades of chestnut, lending contrast and definition to our Woodgrain design.
As with our Woodgrain cushions, this opulent bolster is inspired by the beautiful oak floorboards at the home of our founders, Tim and Lizzie. These boards have had their grain blasted, then filled with gold, before being stained and varnished.
What could easily have been a very gauche result was in the end so beautiful it became the inspiration first for an opulent fabric made with Italian velvet and silk, and now this cushion, where the design is depicted using a silk velvet with cotton over-embroidery.
