Bespoke Collaborations

Collaborating with other designers within the realm of interiors can be an incredibly rewarding and enriching experience. These collections show that by pooling our creative energies and expertise, we have the opportunity to create something truly remarkable and unique.

British wallcovering atelier Fromental and French crystal house Lalique have collaborated to produce the first of a range of handcrafted silk wallcoverings which have been expertly hand painted and finely embroidered by master craftspeople to cleverly incorporate Lalique crystal.

The first of the series ‘Hirondelles’ is a highly decorated chinoiserie adorned with Lalique Hirondelles (swallows) and Dahlia’s in satin finish crystal.

Inspired by the quiet beauty of the natural world, this collection of wallcoverings was brought to life in collaboration with celebrated interior designer Sophie Paterson. From the linear elegance of Grey Willow to the graceful movement of Branches in the Breeze, each design draws inspiration from organic forms and natural textures.

At Fromental, we believe the most compelling results come from creative collaboration. Having worked closely with Sophie for many years, this collection is a natural expression of our shared passion for Chinoiserie, craftsmanship, and timeless interiors.

Goop reimagines Fromental’s core chinoiserie style, embellishing the cherry blossom grove with their own mythical symbols of transformation. From birds and woodland creatures to medicinal herbs like cannabis and mushrooms, there is a huge amount of allegory within the objects in the design. The hummingbird resembles healing and joy, the butterfly is hope and transformation and the doves bring peace and love. Layered with the true healing power of the various vegetation and plant life found in the designs, every detail has been placed deliberately and thoughtfully to conjure a sense of magic and evolution.

Dawn - Along The Wild Path

A contemporary interpretation of the traditional Chinoiserie style, An English Butterfly Garden takes inspiration from Katherine Pooley's flower-filled garden in the heart of Oxfordshire.

Hand-painted in an unconscious chinoiserie style and embroidered by our artists on a silk ground, the design features many of Katharine’s favourite flora and fauna, including honeysuckle, camellias, duchess peonies, jasmine and forget me nots. A nibbling dormouse peeks through the leafy grove and a kaleidoscope of butterflies flutter above.

With every piece sold, a donation will be made to support Butterfly Conservation, a wonderful charity, whose work protects and conserves endangered British butterflies and their habitats.

Envisioned by interior designer Natalia Miyar, and printed and hand-foiled by Fromental’s artists in the UK, this surrealist-inspired wallcovering echoes the bold colour and dynamic forms of Wifredo Lam’s La Jungla.

Our collaboration with Milan-based interior designer Eric Egan marries hand-painted heritage with his distinctive vision — a sophisticated, layered approach, weaving classical influences into contemporary design.

Originally created as a wallcovering for Amy’s own home, Phantasm reflects her aesthetic vision and her approach to living beautifully — shaped by our shared passion for innovative craftsmanship and exceptional materials.

With Amy’s passing, our design collaboration stands as a tribute to her extraordinary talent. Honouring her generous spirit, a share of proceeds will support causes chosen by her family, extending her legacy beyond design.
