Ambia

Malecón

Rich coral and amber tones are contrasted by soft lavender and powder blue, with intricate crackled detailing adding depth to select panels. This palette evokes the weathered beauty of ancient coastal walls and sun-bleached facades, where time has created a patina of stories.

This surrealist-inspired wallcovering echoes the bold colour and dynamic forms of Wifredo Lam’s La Jungla.

  • Envisioned by interior designer Natalia Miyar, and printed and hand-foiled by Fromental’s artists in the UK, the initial expression for the Ambia wallcovering collection was drawn from surrealism and cubism master Wifredo Lam’s strikingly coloured painting, La Jungla. The best-known piece, by the most renowned Cuban painter, this work is widely revered as a critical painting in the history of Latin American art and twentieth-century modernism.

  • Inspired by Wifredo Lam’s La Jungla, our collaboration with Interior Designer Natalia Miyar transforms modernist geometries into richly layered wallcoverings. Printed and hand-foiled here in the UK, Ambia captures the vivid spirit of Caribbean colour and Cuban heritage. First unveiled at London’s Masterpiece Art Fair, the collection channels Miyar’s bold design language through a surrealist lens.
