Honshu is the only Carp and Moon colourway to feature a literal approach to colour: the carp rendered naturalistically using subtle shifts between oranges, reds and whites.
Koi ponds have long been symbols of repose and good fortune. Within this show-stopping composition, carp move languidly amongst floating lotus leaves; a serene moon is reflected as the focal point of the design.
The koi carp lend a subtle feeling of life and movement, their whiskers, fins and scales rendered in fine detail. The lustre of the silk mimics the effect of rippling water, giving a sense of calm to the composition.
