Inspired by landscapes found in traditional Chinese painting manuals, Garden of Hours is delicate and reserved. A beautifully contemporary take on a Chinoiserie scene, skilful line drawing is combined with gentle washes of paint, combining the graphic and the organic.
The use of negative space and unique background materials contribute to the success of the overall aesthetic. Delicate highlights are hand-painted throughout the design, adding a further level of intricacy.
