Raineri

Falco

A warm burnt yellow teapaper adorned with a blend of soft, rich colours that evoke a sense of warmth and elegance.

"With Raineri, we wanted to create something that wasn't just about that soft delicacy of birds and flower, we wanted: strong and muscular." - Tim Butcher

  • Raineri is a hand-painted Chinoiserie inspired by the designs of Carlo Antonio and Vittorio Raineri, who worked in Lombardy and Liguria in the late 18th century. A collaboration with designer Eric Egan, the design invokes the Lombardy style of cosmopolitan and exotic Neoclassicism. A particularly brazen take on a traditional Chinoiserie, Raineri features hawks and eagles among the boldly rendered flowering trees.

Inspired by 18th-century Italian decorative artists Carlo Antonio and Vittorio Raineri, our Raineri design channels the Lombardy tradition of cosmopolitan Neoclassicism. Bold and expressive, it reflects a shared appreciation for theatricality, cultural exchange, and the enduring power of decorative arts — reimagined for the modern interior.
