Soft, quiet tones of stone and rose pink bring a sense of calm to our Roan colourway, while occasional flashes of burgundy strike a fascinating contrast.
Rexine grew out of our love for the tooled leather bookbinding of Ivor Robinson. Our ‘Cartonnage’ paper was designed to mimic the texture of a burnished leather book cover. Multiple shades of this material are skilfully torn and then collaged together, before being waxed and hand-finished. The bold composition and fine gilded detailing are balanced by the soft organic sheen of the waxed paper ground.
