Avalon describes with soft hues the paradise from which it takes its name. Hushed blues and browns traverse hills, while paler water and mountains show off our White Organza Silk.
Roxy Mountains combines both the conventions of the hanging scroll and the handscroll, which can be understood in two very distinct ways: one conveys a grander vista, while the other, sequential and panoramic, invites a more intimate viewing. The lyrical subtlety of this landscape is painted with great refinement onto silk organza and rendered in delicate hues by our Master Artist. The naming of the design and colourways refers to a photograph of the singer Bryan Ferry leaning on a wall decorated in the chinoiserie style – an image we have always loved.
