Inspired by Ben Nicholson, this modernist composition layers still-life forms in a rhythmic interplay of line and movement.
Taking inspiration from the dynamic works of Modernist painter Ben Nicholson, Untitled I presents forms of still life objects overlapping and interpenetrating, their simple lines introducing rhythm and movement across the surface. The curvilinear forms rendered in fine pencil line add a deceptive simplicity to the composition, while our hand-painted Papyrii Paper lends a chalky, subtly mottled texture.
