More than any other, this design captures the dialogue between Harris and Fromental across fashion and interiors. Drawing on traditional Japanese dress, Lizzie turned to wisteria (藤, fuji) — a motif prized in Meiji and Taishō period kimonos for its elegance and ephemerality.
