Wallcovering

Also known as the ‘Tree of Eternity’, the olive tree takes centre stage in this design and is a demonstration of artistic flair and finesse. The twisted frame of the trunk is rendered in naturalistic tones, with winding delicate vines and branches peppered with olive fruit.

The softness of the leaves in shades of celadon green balance out the design, bringing a feminine elegance, while the Dupion Silk lends a raw texture to the background.

Olive Grove is our third collaboration with the fabulous Sophie Paterson.

This design is also available as a framed original artwork. Shop now.

The background has a natural texture and will create a strong panelling effect when installed.

Each painted panel begins its life as a length of raw silk which we size with a natural adhesive so that it receives paint without bleeding. This forms the extraordinary canvas on which our artists work their magic. Our artists are masters of traditional painting and work in teams to meticulously plan out each room before slowly building up the many layers of detail and colour. To achieve intensity and shade, the artist will blend hues, often using two brushes simultaneously
